Sharing Stories and Knowledge

Welcome to
“Sharing Stories and Knowledge with Dr. MPQ”

I wanted to create a platform to share my knowledge and experiences about my educational journey, my work in higher education, and my spiritual growth. Initially, I was cautious about sharing my stories on a podcast. After reflecting on my graduate school process and navigating the job market, I realize that I have full control of my voice and what I share. I believe there is power in storytelling. Sharing stories out loud is an intersectional learning process and method. There are many ways to claim and manage one’s power through storytelling. One method is telling stories our way.

I was raised by storytellers and developed friendships with individuals who were great storytellers. I am thankful to have been a listener as a child and young adult. I am blessed to continue meeting and interacting with individuals who are selfless and vulnerable in sharing their stories and knowledge with me. I am forever grateful!

Now, I want to create a platform for storytelling and discussions. This podcast was developed to circumvent the political and institutional organization of power and control of knowledge. I want to share strategies and methods to help others develop resistance against the restrictions and inequity that cause individuals and communities to struggle in advancing and achieving personal, familial, educational, and professional goals. I hope to provide an outlet and opportunity for people to learn and grow from the hidden curriculum of intersectional life, well-being, and hope.

Lastly, I developed this podcast to engage in conversations with other individuals who have inspired me and want to share their thoughts, knowledge, passions, and stories with others.
